About IRC
IRC is a chat protocol that allows for real-time discussions of pony butts with multiple people, in so called IRC channels.
If you're already familiar with IRC and have a client, you know what to do.
If not, here's how to connect:
- Google "IRC clients." Download the one you like. We recommend mIRC, XChat/HexChat, or ChatZilla for Firefox. You can also use the web client here.
- In the field for the server, type irc.rizon.net, choose a nickname and /join the channel #MLPFiM once connected. If your desired name is already taken, you will be prompted to choose another.
- Learn more about IRC and its functions. Browse Rizon and other networks/channels if you'd like. There's something out there for everyone.
- Say hi, and tell us your favorite pone.
- If applicable: Determine if your client allows you to auto-join channels upon connecting to the network. If so, add #MLPFiM and any other channels you've found in your adventure to this field.
- Optional: Register for the Rizon network. This will ensure that no one else can claim your name. Note that your name will expire if not used at least once in a 3-month period. Click here for a quick how-to guide.
